Olentangy Overlook
This was a two week project with one week focused on sketching design options and the other on deliverables. The option I ended up picking is option C.
Set along the Olentangy Trail between Woody Hayes Drive and Lane Avenue, this overlook serves as a beautiful open space where visitors can rest and enjoy the scenery. The space is divided by an allée of trees into two distinct halves. On the left, the “hard” side features sharp edges and rigid geometry, offering more defined seating for visitors. On the right, the “soft” side is characterized by rounded edges and loose geometry, providing more informal seating options. Users are free to choose which side to enjoy as they take in the views of the site.
