Hughes Hall

Located in the arts district of Ohio State’s campus, Hughes hall is an important meeting place between the arts district and the oval. This project considers the physical, social, cultural, and environmental aspects of public space design. By integrating elements that promote social interaction, cultural exchange, and community engagement, pedestrian environments become vibrant, inclusive, and dynamic places where people can connect. The Envelope is crafted from a system of louvers strategically positioned to shield against direct sunlight atop double-pane glass windows.
